I couldn't think of what to write about, and I wanted to put something up....so I'm taking a nice easy option and copying and pasting a recent song that I wrote. It's been going through my head today. It really will be on the CD that Emily and I will be recording this year of songs that we have written....here goes... It's called, "By Faith" and it's based on Hebrews 11.
V.1 Faith is believin’
In what’s not been seen
Not knowing the future
And releasing the key
So what keeps me going when there seems no sense?
And where is the hope found in this emptiness?
Your grace is the answer
It’s saved me the pain
I’ve seen unending mercy
You have paved me the way
c.1 So I’ll keep walking, in Your path Lord
I know You’ll keep me from what’s wrong
You’ll never leave me nor forsake me
Although I don’t feel it, You’re there all along.
v.2 Sometimes my fear
Takes control of my mind
It blinds me to Your goodness
And keeps me stuck in one place
So where do I go, Lord when stubborness gains
A hold of my heart? Let Your sovereignty reign
Your will is the answer
I trust in Your name
Your blessings are forever
And Your love will remain
Br. By faith I understand You formed the universe
And by faith I earnestly seek You
By faith waters part and walls fall down
Kingdoms conquered, promises gained, flames quenched
Because You planned for better, that I may be perfect.
