home sweet home (#2)

Hey y'all I am at BSC right now! And yes, it's kind of funny that I am writing on my blog while I am here. But here's the current situation...I got here right after lunch today, and the first duty assigned to me was to make copies to winter retreat packets! So here I am in the office...makin' copies...nothing else to do while I wait for the copies so I am doing stuff on the computer. Spider Solitaire is grand. I miss it! Haha! It's beautiful up here. Yeah, it's rainy and foggy, but it's fall and I just absolutely love. Fall has got to be my favorite season, no doubt, and I think that this year I am appreciating it more than ever. It's just sooooo....beautiful. The first people I saw when I got here were Kelly and Seth. And that's exciting because I seriously have been missing little Seth and I couldn't wait to see him. He is running around like a track star and saying more words then Bill and ball....like...bell. :) Oh, and car. But I haven't really gotten to hear a whole lot yet. SO stinkin' adorable! There is a huge group here. (They came in five First Student buses!) 289 campers, Tate said! They are doing some pretty crazy activities. Like roasting game animals over the campfire! I'm not kidding. Oh...and they were rolling down the hill. When Tate told me this I said, "you mean the mountain boarding hill?" He said, "no, the tubing hill." "THE TUBING HILL?!?!" "well, where the rope goes up!" These kids have been ROLLING DOWN THE HILL! Does this sound like a great safe activity to you? Yeah, well, they cancelled it cuz a kid broke his arm yesterday! Another activity they can do is go in the chapel and learn to play guitar, or just jam with people. Now that, I think, is pretty sweet! So yeah, I'm here for the weekend, and I don't even know what is going to happen, what all I will be responsible for besides helping in the kitchen and running the snack shop. Whatever it is it doesn't matter cuz I'm just so glad to be here and spend time with the full time staff and Em Johnson. I love these people dearly and miss them much when I am away. When I walked in the kitchen, Dave hugged me and said, "welcome home". This place is home. I can drive up here and make all the correct turns like it's just as natural as it is home. I know every landmark and after how many minutes I will pass it. I feel like that today more than I ever have before I think. I no longer have keys or my own office space, but BSC is home. I'm lovin' it.
On Sunday, Em and I are going to see Bebo Norman and Bethany Dillon! Waaaaaayyyy excited about that. Two very great talented, gifted writing musicians! Maybe it will just inspire us to be that much better of writers, musicians and performers...oh, I mean, recording artists! :)
tata for now....
