so long sweet summer

So I'm sorry that the summer at camp is way stinkin' busy that I don't get to write here EVER! It just takes so long to log in, think of enough importance to write about, etc.... So here I am, I am back. The summer is...well, not officially, but over. I'm actually coming home on Saturday. Our Alliance camps are done for the summer, so most of our staff is gone. But right now we have a rental group here and we are running the camp for them. I am actually in the office all day because I am finishing up stuff...mainly decision cards- getting them copied and sent out to counselors and churches, getting addresses and postcards to counselors- it's a big job...and I get to do it! :) I'm also working with pictures because I am combining all the digital ones that the staff has taken to put them onto one CD for everyone. Between myself, the chapel coordinator and one other counselor, I think we have about 800....more to come from other staff members! So I will for sure get some of the best on here! Here are a couple for ya....just kidding...photobucket is being stinky...more to come when I get on my computer at home and don't have quite as slow a connection!
I will have to say that this has been the fastest summer that I have been on staff. This summer flew by like you wouldn't believe. And now it is finally actually to the point that I do want to go home though. I've just got that "it's over, I'm ready to move on" feeling that I haven't had the last couple of weeks. I wanted it to last longer because it felt like the school year just ended and I just got here. But now it is time. I am anxious to spend time with friends that I have hardly talked to all summer...and to go to youth group...and I'm anxious to watch the Olympics!!!!!...and I'm anxious to sit at home and do nothing (watch TV and play on the computer!)...and I'm anxious to not do so much driving, and do just have more freedom to do things and to not have to worry about 80 bazillion things at a time...which I did of course enjoy. It's just that it will be a welcome change of pace.
One thing that I have definitely enjoyed this summer is weddings....I have been to one almost every weekend. Tomorrow I am going to Tim and Tammy's (Junker) in Grand Rapids. And that should be a definite fun one since I know both their families and so many friends in the wedding. I was at Tim's house on Monday night and they realized they didn't have cake servers so he asked me to be a cake cutter/server....FUN! It will be my last wedding for awhile! :(
As of Saturday night I will be in the glorious Twin Cities. So y'all should give me a shout and we can go to Applebee's or something. I will be excited to be at home and see everyone around!
